About Atoosa Vakili

Atoosa Vakili is the founder and managing attorney at the Law Office of Atoosa Vakili, US Immigration Legal Services. She specializes in business and employment immigration and “employer compliance” as it relates to the employment of foreign nationals. Atoosa has over 25 years’ experience in providing legal services as an attorney, first as a litigator and then as a transactional attorney. She has served as legal consultant to many businesses in various sectors, including medical and dental providers, hospitality and food industry, manufacturing, construction, real estate, financial, high tech and entertainment industries.

Atoosa received her undergraduate degrees in Math/Computer Science and French Literature from Binghamton University in the state of NY. She obtained her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and was admitted to the Bar of California and the 9th Federal Circuit in 1989. Atoosa started her legal carrier at the San Diego civil litigation firm of Backes, Friesen & Wolf and later formed the partnership law firm of Solomon & Vakili. In 2009, she formed US Immigration Legal Services to concentrate on an immigration law practice, while continuing her business and transactional practice.

Atoosa is an active member of the California Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She continues to serve as Advocacy Liaison for the Southern California Chapter of AILA and on the Consular Liaison Committee of AILA’s Europe/Middle East/Africa chapter. She is a member of the Iranian American Bar Association (IABA) and serves on the IABA Foundation Board (Chair from 2014-2016). She is active in philanthropy and community service and serves on the board of CHILD International as well as on the board of OMID Multicultural Institute for Development in Orange County, CA. Atoosa is a frequent speaker at AILA, IABA and community conferences on immigration law issues.
